A top tier leading independent and international engineering is looking to add a Hydraulic Dam Engineer with over 7 x years experience to their outstanding team of professionals in the South of France.

Their Dam & Hydro teams consists of over 100 of elite professionals carving their diverse skills on large scale Hydro projects from design through to construction supervision, their primary involvement is the development of Hydroelectric projects worldwide.
The global Hydraulic center of excellence encompasses the entire project Lifecyle that includes feasibility studies; design; modelling and execution of Hydraulic & Hydrology of Hydro & Dam engineering facilities across the planet.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Design, verify, and size hydraulic structures, dams, and hydroelectric facilities: intake canals, spillways, bottom outlets, gates and valves, water intakes and discharges, dissipation basins, etc.
- Perform hydraulic calculations under pressure and head loss calculations for waterways (pipes, components, equipment) under steady-state conditions.
- Study transient regimes (water hammer): assumptions, scenarios, sizing/protection, interpretation of results.
- Manage 1D and 2D numerical hydraulic modelling or physical hydraulic modelling studies (managing modelling teams, interpreting/synthesizing results).
- Write calculation notes, technical reports, and contributions to design (FS/APS/APD/Tender) and/or construction documents, depending on the project.
- Liaise with clients, partners, and contractors.
- Contribute to strengthening the technical reference framework. The team (tools, methods, feedback) and share your expertise through training, publications, etc.

Key experience required:
- Specialised training in hydraulics, you have at least 7 years of experience in a design office on similar projects (structural hydraulics).
- Autonomy, technical rigor, teamwork skills, and analytical and synthesis abilities will be key assets for this position.
- Knowledge of open channel hydraulics software (HEC-RAS) and transient hydraulics software (Cebelmail or Simsen) is desirable.
Salary & Package:
The basic salary is subject to experience and qualifications, should all the requirements be met then the basic salary offered is +60,000 Euro’s Gross per annum. The package includes a variety of flexible benefits along with profit sharing, relocation costs, travel allowance, pension, Family healthcare and bonus.
