You will be based in Quebec, working as a Senior Structural Engineer to join a national Hydropower & Dams team. In this role, you will provide technical leadership on the design, assessment, rehabilitation, and safety evaluation of dam and hydropower infrastructure. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will support public and private sector clients and play a key role in delivering complex engineering solutions that have a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead feasibility studies and detailed engineering design for new structures and rehabilitation projects involving dams, spillways, hydraulic structures, and powerhouses.
  • Design reinforced concrete and steel structures with a focus on safety, durability, and long-term performance.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Participate in dam inspections and dam safety assessments.
  • Coordinate design and construction-related issues with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Lead and plan the structural engineering components of hydropower and dam projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Contribute technical expertise to proposals, bids, and business development activities.
  • Support the continued growth and technical excellence of the team.

 Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Master's degree or higher considered an asset.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the design of structural works associated with hydropower facilities and/or dams.
  • Professional Engineer designation for Canada
  • Strong technical judgement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual English / French communication skills preferred, French in mandatory.
  • Construction safety certification and willingness to travel occasionally for project requirements.
