Seeking a technical specialist in detailed design and engineering for construction as a Senior Structural Engineer specialising in dams and hydropower. The role focuses on detailed design and dam safety with focus on concrete, steel, and composite dam structures and appurtenant facilities.

In this position you will be collaborating with both people in your office, across the country and the Americas. Key Responsibilities:

Engineering & Technical Work

• Lead or contribute to dam safety reviews and inspections
• Perform structural design and analysis for dam infrastructure
• Carry out static, dynamic, thermal, and seismic analyses
• Design and upgrade: Spillways, Powerhouses, Intake structures & Penstocks and gates

Project & Construction

• Prepare tender documents and construction packages
• Provide on-site engineering support and inspections
• Review contractor submissions and shop drawings

Leadership & Business Development

• Mentor junior and intermediate engineers
• Support proposal writing and client presentations
• Participate in industry events and committees

What you will bring:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 15+ years’ experience in hydropower/dam engineering
• Professional Engineer registration (or equivalent)
• Experience with multiple dam safety reviews
• Knowledge of Dam safety regulations (including Canadian guidelines) and Structural design codes and standards
• Experience with structural analysis tools
• Strong English communication skills
• Willingness to travel and work on-site
• Strong leadership and mentoring ability
