Based in the highlands of Scotland; this project of National significance is essential for the UK Energy transition and will pave the way for huge development and construction in Hydro Pumped storage and LDES.

Plan Recruit is searching for an Owner’s NEC Supervisor who will be based at site and act as the clients Named NEC Supervisor across the project and Construction Contracts with full accountability for an expected duration of 5 x years. This will include: Site based inspections; Quality Surveillance; Progress Verification & Contract Sign-Off; exercising the supervisors’ duties independent of the NEC Project Manager.

With a programme of new PSHP under consideration; this flagship project needs the best expertise to help deliver the first Pumped Storage Hydropower for over 40 x years.

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as the named NEC4 Supervisor on the construction contracts
• Client-side quality surveillance, inspection oversight and acceptance support across the construction contracts.
• Lead the client-side responsibilities of the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)
• Raise, track and close out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Defects with contractors
• Verify physical progress on site against the accepted programme and Activity Schedule / Bill of Quantities and provide site-based progress sign-off
• Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) and pre-commissioning tests
• Review the contractors' quality submissions
• Maintain the Defects register and surveillance records across all three contracts.

Experience Required:

• Acting as the named NEC3/NEC4 Supervisor on a £400m+ UK / European heavy civils, tunnelling, hydro or major power infrastructure package.
• UK and international hydro, pumped-storage or large power-plant experience
• Degree Qualified and chartership, preferably Civil or Mechanical, or equivalent experience
• Strong working knowledge of NEC4 ECC contract administration
• NEC4 ECC Supervisor accreditation.

Salary & Package:

Basic Annual Salary £130,000 + Rental Accommodation Provided + Transportation + Medical + Support for your own professional development.
