A senior editorial role will be available in the coming weeks on a well respected international journal, which covers renewable energy, water resources development, and related topics.
We are seeking a Technical Editor to work as part of a small team, preferably with an engineering background, or relevant qualifications.
Key attributes required:
- The ability to unravel and edit complex technical material, and to present material clearly for an international readership, is essential.
- English should be first language, with a pedantic approach to grammar and the use of English!
- Working knowledge of a second European language would be an advantage, but not essential.
- Work on a variety of publishing projects will be required, as well as on international conferences.
- Travel both to conferences and to projects or companies will be necessary from time to time.
- Great communication skills, to keep in touch with specialists at all levels in the industry, as well as the personality to work within a small busy team, are prerequisites.
What we can offer you:
Basic Salary: Starting from £50,000 for the right person (depending on experience and qualifications). Bonuses are paid for working away at conferences.
There is a group pension scheme and optional group healthcare scheme. Annual leave is an excellent five weeks.
The company offers a hybrid system of working, with three days in the office (in Surrey, UK) and two days working from home.
