You will be employed in a major city to manage 2 large hydropower project’s electrical and mechanical engineering scope. Most of your time will be spent on site to oversee the construction activities when they take place.

This is an urgent position, in a beautiful location, and invite interest from those who can be available to start a new position in early 2026.

This electromechanical role, holds responsibility of oversight of the design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of all systems, including; turbines, generators, transformers, HV equipment, and auxiliary systems. They must be completed to the highest technical, quality, and safety standards. You will need to coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, and suppliers to resolve technical issues. You will also provide technical input for tenders, bid evaluations, and vendor selection and enforce HSE requirements in all mechanical and electrical activities.

You will bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, ideally at Master level
• Ideally a Professionally Registered Engineer
• At least 25 years of experience, with at least 10 years in senior roles in hydropower construction or large-scale power generation projects.
• PSH experience would be an asset.
• Strong technical expertise in hydro-turbine generators, high-voltage systems, SCADA, and auxiliary systems.
• Experience in EPC project environments and large-scale infrastructure delivery.

Salary:

A highly competitive USD net salary on either a freelance or employee contract. The company will provide visa’s, travel allowance, accommodation, and insurances. The contract will be at least 2 years.
